I have to say this is exctly what I always expect from the GW community. No one can Appreciate the work the devs and programmers do. We do not work on the game we only play it none of us are in a positinon to ride them down for choices they have to make. While the game isn't dead it is "old" be happy they are still doing something with it. In short stop complaining.

Hey Lone Samuri, nice seeing you outside the Xbox Forums.

just listen to yourself, shoyon456. the 4 years of gw seemed to have left a pretty deep impact on you, which you probably can't say of other games (especially on the mmorpg market). i played wow, aoc, warhammer and gw and with all these games in mind, i know they have different release dates, gw is the one which kept me playing all these years.

i assume, you've played long enough to figure out what you find in gw that other mmorpgs lack. however, you are somehow eager to find a weakness in anet, where you can point at and shout "ha, you have a skeleton in your closet too!"

obviously they haven't done everything wrong with their "shitty" support, or you wouldn't be there and constantly reminding them of this "fact".

No reason? If they stopped updating GW, everyone would go to different games with the possibility of not picking up GW2. That's not a risk ANet wants to make. They have to keep the community somewhat happy so we have a reason to pick up GW2. Not many people would want to pick up a game when they already know what the devs do, or what they don't do.

We paid for the game, we've been waiting for GW2 for 2 years (and we're most likely going to wait at least another year), we're going to be a large part of the GW2 community, pretty sure we deserve something.

Every single gaming community complains. Every one. The community complaining about the game shows that the community has some interest in it, and it shows the community somewhat gives a shit. No complaining would just show how much the community didn't care.

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. I still don't think the devs realize how broken shadow steps are in HB.....hell, they just started working on removing heroes from GvG/HA. I really doubt they care enough about HB to do anything.

I'm sure they know how broken shadow steps, along with many other skills and the crossing are. They just don't give a shit.

I've been saying it for years, HB is the ugly, dumb child of GW. No one cares about it, and it's not going anywhere.

I'm actually starting to think that would be GOOD for the game AND the community if we all took a break and relaxed with other games for a while

I'm sure it would. However, from a business standpoint, ANet would probably rather not have that happen. When the majority of the (early at least) GW2 community is going to be GW1 players, why would ANet want them to stop playing the game and take the chance of them not coming back? They wouldn't. Sure, many will still come back, but many won't due to frustration at how ANet has handled GW1 for the past while, and because they've already started playing other games. That's all money lost for ANet.

This is pretty much how I feel aswell, without a major content update ie.. new expansion, most players wont still be playing GW1 by 2097 or whenever GW2 comes out. 1 example is Aion being released next month will attract a lot of GW1 players, whether or not they will come back for GW2 who knows. Personally without some major content updates I wont be playing GW1 for another 2 years or even more until GW2 comes out.
Frustration at how they handled GW1 will be another major reason not to come back.

On Topic. There wont be any update until at least September, probably October unless we hear about it in the next week or so.
